Masai Mara is the most famous National Reserve in Kenya, with its open rolling grasslands and abundance of wildlife renowned for its good game viewing. It sustains all of the “Big Five” – elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard as well as an astonishing wealth of other game. The reserve is located in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grassland.
The Masai Mara is regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas. The annual wildebeest’s migration alone involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in October.
Nowhere in Africa is wildlife more abundant, and it is for this reason a visitor hardly misses to see the big five (buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and rhino).

We had a few days in Nairobi and made a last minute plan to visit Masai Mara. We contacted Joy, who was recommended by a friend and she was very professional and guided us to take the flying option to save time. This turned up to be the most efficient option and enabled us to spend more time in Masai Mara. We plan to go back to Kenya.
